The Soldiers, Sailors, Marines’, Coast Guard & Airmen’s Club (SSMAC) celebrated its 91st Anniversary at the 14th Annual Military Ball at the Pierre last Friday night. They honored General Peter W. Chiarelli, Vice Chief of Staff of the United States Army and John M. McHugh, Secretary of the United States Army.
The Wall Street Journal Online recognizes our Chairman, Ivan Obolensky, as their Donor of the Day.

The second annual Red, White and Blue luncheon honoring Military and Civilian Heroines was held on Monday, May 10, 2010 at “21 Club”, New York City. This year the awardees included Colonel Tracey E. Nicholson for Distinguished Military Leadership, Hollister K. ( Mrs. David ) Petraeus, Director of BBB Military Line, for Service to the Nation, Liz Trotta, former New York Bureau Chief of the Washington Times for Distinguished Media Achievement and Margo Catsimatidis, President of MCV Advertising for Distinguished Community Service.
“21” provides a marvelous setting for what has developed as one of the most sought after events hosted by the Club. Subscribe early next year, don’t be disappointed, seating is very limited.
